CEFTRON 1GM IM Injection contains Ceftriaxone Sodium equivalent to 1 g of Ceftriaxone. It is a third-generation, broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Uses:

Management of severe lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia), typhoid fever, and bacterial septicemia.
Treatment of complicated urinary tract, intra-abdominal, skin/soft tissue, and bone/joint infections.
Treatment of bacterial meningitis and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Dose:

Adults: Usually 1 g to 2 g once daily (or divided into two equal doses given every 12 hours) via deep intramuscular injection, as prescribed by a physician. Maximum dose: up to 4 g daily in severe cases.
