DIAMPA 25 mg Tablet contains Empagliflozin 25 mg. It is an SGLT2 (sodium-glucose co-transporter-2) inhibitor medicine that works by reducing glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, allowing excess sugar to be removed from the body through urine. It helps control blood glucose levels and provides cardiovascular and kidney benefits in selected patients.
Uses:
Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Helps improve blood sugar control along with diet and exercise.
Reduces the risk of:
Cardiovascular complications in certain diabetic patients
Hospitalization due to heart failure (in appropriate patients)
Progression of kidney disease in selected patients
Helps reduce symptoms associated with high blood sugar.
Dose:
Adults: Usually 10 mg once daily, which may be increased to 25 mg once daily depending on blood sugar control and physician advice.
Take the tablet once daily, with or without food.
Maintain adequate fluid intake unless restricted by a doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood glucose, kidney function, and other health parameters may be required.
Inform the doctor if symptoms of urinary infection, dehydration, or unusual weakness occur.
