Description:
CEFTIBEN 90 mg/5 ml Powder for Oral Suspension contains Ceftibuten 90 mg per 5 ml when reconstituted. It is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for pediatric use that treats various bacterial infections by preventing bacteria from forming their cell wall.
Uses:
Treats acute bacterial otitis media (middle ear infection).
Treats upper and lower respiratory tract infections, including acute sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and acute bronchitis.
Treats complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in pediatric patients.
Dose:
Children: Usually 9 mg/kg body weight once daily, taken on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours before or 1 hour after meals), as directed by a physician.
Reconstitute with cooled boiled water before use; shake well before each dose and complete the full prescribed course.
