Description:
Torsid 20mg Tablet contains Torsemide (Torasemide) 20 mg. It is a loop diuretic ("water pill") used for managing fluid retention and high blood pressure.
Uses:
• Treatment of edema (fluid retention/swelling) associated with heart failure, kidney disease, or liver cirrhosis
• Management of high blood pressure (hypertension) alone or with other antihypertensives
• Reduction of swelling in the legs, arms, abdomen, or lungs
• Promotion of excess fluid and salt removal through urine to reduce cardiovascular workload
Dose:
• 10 mg to 20 mg once daily as an initial dose for edema, titrated by a doctor if needed
• Recommended to take once daily in the morning to prevent night-time urination
• Swallow whole with water, with or without food
• Regular monitoring of electrolytes, fluid balance, and kidney function is advised under medical supervision
