Treatment of Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding: Prescribed to manage and stop heavy, prolonged, or irregular bleeding from the uterus caused by hormonal imbalances.
Management of Amenorrhea: Used to induce a regular menstrual period (withdrawal bleeding) in women whose periods have stopped abnormally before menopause.
Endometriosis Relief: Prescribed to suppress the abnormal growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, helping reduce associated pelvic pain.
Combination Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): Used alongside estrogen therapies in menopausal women to protect the uterine lining from overgrowth (endometrial hyperplasia).
For Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding: Typically 5mg to 10mg daily for 5 to 10 days, usually starting on a calculated day of the menstrual cycle (such as day 16 or 21).
For Absent Periods (Amenorrhea): Commonly 5mg to 10mg daily taken for 10 consecutive days.
For Endometriosis: Higher schedules, such as 10mg taken three times a day for up to 90 consecutive days, may be directed depending on the condition's severity.
Take this tablet at the same time every day, exactly as scheduled by your doctor.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Expect withdrawal bleeding (similar to a regular period) to begin anywhere from 3 to 7 days after you stop taking the course of tablets.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and return to your regular routine. Do not double the dose.
Changes in menstrual flow, spotting, or breakthrough bleeding between cycles.
Breast tenderness, swelling, or minor fluid discharge.
Headache, dizziness, or mild mood fluctuations.
