MAXIMA MUPS 20 mg contains esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate 20 mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces acid production in the stomach.
Uses:
- Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Relief of heartburn and acid reflux
- Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers
- Prevention of NSAID-induced stomach ulcers
- Part of therapy for Helicobacter pylori infection
Dose:
- Usually 20 mg once daily as prescribed by a physician
- Take before meals (commonly 1 hour before breakfast)
- Swallow whole; do not crush or chew
- Duration depends on condition (short or long course as directed by doctor)
