## FUSID 20MG/2ML IV/IM INJECTION
Fusid Injection contains Furosemide (20 mg per 2 ml), a highly potent loop diuretic. It blocks the reabsorption of sodium, chloride, and water in the ascending limb of the loop of Henle in the kidneys, prompting rapid fluid excretion.

### Uses
* Treatment of acute fluid retention (edema) linked to congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney disease
* Emergency management of acute pulmonary edema (fluid accumulation in the lungs)
* Management of acute renal failure or supportive care during hypertensive crises
---
### Typical Dose
* **Adults:** The usual initial dose is 20 mg to 50 mg given either intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously (IV). For acute pulmonary edema, a 40 mg dose is typically injected slowly via IV.
* **Administration:** Intravenous injections must be given very slowly (over 1 to 2 minutes or not exceeding 4 mg per minute) to prevent adverse reactions. IM use is reserved only for exceptional cases when IV or oral routes are unavailable.
* Administered strictly by qualified medical personnel.
