Description:

CIPROCIN 0.3% Eye Drop (5 ml) contains Ciprofloxacin 0.3% w/v (as Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride). Manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC, it is a broad-spectrum, topically applied fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, stopping bacterial replication and effectively eliminating a wide range of ocular bacterial pathogens.

Uses:

Treatment of superficial ocular infections, including bacterial conjunctivitis ("pink eye"), blepharitis, and blepharoconjunctivitis caused by susceptible bacteria.
Treatment and management of corneal ulcers caused by susceptible bacterial strains.
Prophylaxis against bacterial infection following ocular surgery or injury.

Dose:

Bacterial Conjunctivitis: Instill 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days, then 1 or 2 drops every 4 hours for the next 5 days, or as directed by an ophthalmologist.
Corneal Ulcers: Instill 2 drops into the affected eye every 15 minutes for the first 6 hours, then 2 drops every 30 minutes for the remainder of the first day; on the second day, 2 drops hourly; and from day 3 to 14, 2 drops every 4 hours.
Use strictly as prescribed by a physician. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination, and remove contact lenses prior to application.
