Description:

DILTIZEM SR 90MG TABLET contains Diltiazem Hydrochloride 90 mg in a sustained-release (SR) formulation. It is a calcium channel blocker used to manage high blood pressure and prevent angina (chest pain).

Uses:

• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Prevention and long-term management of chronic stable angina pectoris

• Treatment of vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina

• Improvement of exercise tolerance in patients with coronary artery disease

Dose:

• Typically 60 mg to 120 mg twice daily, as adjusted by a physician

• Taken twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush, chew, or split sustained-release tablets

• Must be taken consistently at the same times every day; do not discontinue abruptly without medical advice
