Zolivox Oral Suspension contains Linezolid (100 mg per 5 ml), an oxazolidinone class synthetic antibacterial agent. It acts as a protein synthesis inhibitor by binding selectively to the bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing the formation of the functional 70S initiation complex. This mechanism helps clear severe Gram-positive infections, including multi-drug resistant strains.
