Liglimet XR 5mg+1000mg Extended Release Tablet contains Linagliptin 5 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg (extended release). It is a combination oral antidiabetic medication where Linagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor) increases insulin release and reduces glucagon, and Metformin (a biguanide) decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.

Uses:

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control.
Helps control both fasting and post-meal blood glucose levels in adults.

Dose:

Adults: Usually taken once daily with a meal (preferably in the evening), as prescribed by a physician.
