POLYCEF 250mg Capsule contains Cephradine 250 mg. It is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible bacteria.

Uses:

Treatment of respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia).
Treatment of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) infections, including tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and otitis media.
Treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections.
Treatment of bone and joint infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

Dose:

Adults: Usually 250–500 mg every 6 hours or as directed by a physician, depending on the type and severity of the infection.
Can be taken with or without food.
Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve.
Dose adjustment may be required in patients with kidney impairment.
Do not stop or change the dose without medical advice.
