Phylopen DS 500mg Capsule contains Flucloxacillin Sodium (500 mg), a double-strength, penicillin-type antibiotic that eliminates bacterial infections by blocking the formation of the protective bacterial cell wall.

Uses

Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections (such as boils, abscesses, or cellulitis)
Treatment of respiratory tract infections (including tonsillitis, sinusitis, and pharyngitis)
Treatment of ear infections (otitis media and externa)
Management of minor bone or joint infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Typical Dose

Adults: 500 mg (1 capsule) taken four times daily, usually administered on an empty stomach half to one hour before meals.
Children: Not recommended for general pediatric use in capsule form unless the child can safely swallow capsules and the dose matches their body weight as calculated by a doctor.
