Description:

Montaro 2.5 mg/0.5 ml SC Injection contains Tirzepatide 2.5 mg. It is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist antidiabetic medication used for starting treatment for blood sugar control and weight management.

Uses:

Initiation of glycemic control treatment in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Initial treatment phase for chronic weight management in overweight or obese adults

Lowering blood sugar levels alongside diet and exercise

Gradual appetite regulation and delaying gastric emptying

Dose:

2.5 mg injected subcutaneously (SC) once weekly

Administered once every 7 days at any time of day, with or without food

Inject subcutaneously into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm; rotate injection sites

This starting dose is maintained for 4 weeks before potential escalation to 5 mg as guided by a physician
