EMPAROL 25 mg Tablet contains Empagliflozin 25 mg, an oral antidiabetic medicine used to control blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It may also provide benefits for heart and kidney protection in certain patients.
Empagliflozin belongs to the SGLT2 inhibitor group of medicines. It works by reducing glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, allowing excess sugar to be removed from the body through urine.
This helps lower blood glucose levels and may reduce the risk of certain heart and kidney complications in appropriate patients.
