ORCEF 200mg Capsule contains Cefixime 200 mg. It is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible bacteria.

Uses:

Treatment of respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia).
Treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Treatment of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) infections, including otitis media, sinusitis, and pharyngitis/tonsillitis.
Treatment of uncomplicated gonorrhea.
Treatment of other susceptible bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Dose:

Adults: Usually 200 mg twice daily or 400 mg once daily, or as directed by a physician.
Can be taken with or without food.
Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve.
Dose adjustment may be required in patients with kidney impairment.
Do not stop or change the dose without medical advice.
