Description:
Torax 60 mg/2 ml IM/IV Injection contains Ketorolac Tromethamine 60 mg/2 ml (30 mg/ml). It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain.
Uses:
• Post-operative acute pain relief
• Emergency management of severe acute pain
• Severe renal colic pain
• Acute pain when oral administration is not suitable
Dose:
• 30 mg to 60 mg as a single intramuscular (IM) dose, or 30 mg every 6 hours via IM/IV
• Administered every 6 hours as needed
• IV injection should be given over at least 15 seconds; IM injection given deeply into muscle
• Maximum duration of treatment is 2 days; total daily dose should not exceed 120 mg (60 mg in elderly patients or those with renal impairment)
