Fusid 40mg Tablet contains Furosemide (40 mg), a potent loop diuretic. It blocks the reabsorption of sodium, chloride, and water in the kidneys, prompting fluid excretion to relieve volume overload.
Treatment of fluid retention (edema) linked to congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney disease
Management of mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure)
Long-term control of chronic swelling in the legs or abdomen
Adults: The standard dosage is 20 mg to 80 mg (half to two tablets) taken daily, either as a single dose or divided into two doses.
Administration: Can be taken with or without food. It is highly recommended to take this medication in the morning or early afternoon to avoid waking up during the night to urinate.
Use strictly as prescribed by a physician.
Dehydration and electrolyte imbalances (low potassium, sodium, or magnesium)
