Frabex 500mg Tablet contains Tranexamic Acid (500 mg), an antifibrinolytic agent. It works by reversibly blocking the lysine binding sites on plasminogen molecules, which prevents plasmin activation and slows the breakdown of blood clots, effectively reducing excessive or unwanted bleeding.
Treatment and management of heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia)
Management of local fibrinolysis associated with minor surgical procedures, such as prostate surgery or bladder surgery
Prevention and control of bleeding following dental extractions in patients with hemophilia
Management of nosebleeds (epistaxis) or trauma-induced bleeding
Adults: For heavy menstrual bleeding, the typical dose is 1000 mg to 1500 mg (2 to 3 tablets) taken 2 to 3 times daily, starting when heavy bleeding begins, for up to 4 consecutive days.
Administration: Swallow tablets whole with water. Do not crush or chew them. It can be taken with or without food.
Use strictly as prescribed by a physician.
