EMPAROL 10 mg Tablet contains Empagliflozin 10 mg, an oral antidiabetic medicine used to control blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It may also provide benefits for heart and kidney protection in certain patients.
Empagliflozin belongs to the SGLT2 inhibitor group of medicines. It works by blocking the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, allowing excess glucose to be removed through urine.
This helps lower blood sugar levels and may reduce the risk of certain heart and kidney complications in suitable patients.
