Zolivox 400mg Tablet contains Linezolid (400 mg), an oxazolidinone class synthetic antibacterial agent. It acts as a protein synthesis inhibitor by binding selectively to the bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing the formation of the functional 70S initiation complex. This targeted mechanism makes it highly effective against severe Gram-positive bacterial infections, including drug-resistant strains.
