VANCOMIN 1 g/vial IV Infusion contains Vancomycin Hydrochloride 1 g. It is a glycopeptide antibiotic used to treat serious infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

Dose:
Adults and children: Dose is individualized based on body weight, kidney function, severity of infection, and serum vancomycin levels, or as directed by a physician.
Administered by slow intravenous (IV) infusion only by a qualified healthcare professional.
Do not administer as a rapid IV injection, as rapid infusion may cause infusion-related reactions (e.g., Red Man Syndrome).
Regular monitoring of kidney function and serum vancomycin concentrations may be required during treatment.
Dose and duration depend on the patient's condition and clinical response.
