Aslor 5mg Tablet is an oral prescription antihistamine medication manufactured by Drug International Ltd.
Relief of Allergic Rhinitis: Indicated to treat symptoms of both seasonal allergies (hay fever) and perennial allergies (year-round), including sneezing, runny or itchy nose, nasal congestion, postnasal drip, and itchy, watery, red eyes.
Management of Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Prescribed to relieve symptoms of chronic hives of unknown origin, effectively reducing the intensity of severe skin itching (pruritus) as well as the size and total number of hives (wheals).
Adults and Adolescents (Ages 12 and older): The standard therapeutic dose is 1 tablet (5mg) taken once daily.
Patients with Kidney or Liver Impairment: In individuals with compromised liver or kidney function, the recommended starting dose is modified to 1 tablet (5mg) every other day rather than daily.
Take this tablet once daily at approximately the same time each day to maintain steady protection against allergens.
It can be taken with or without food, swallowed whole with a full glass of water.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed tablet and resume your standard daily routine. Do not double the dose.
History of Seizures Warning: Use with caution if you have a personal or family medical history of seizures or convulsions, as desloratadine can potentially lower the seizure threshold in vulnerable individuals.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Classified as Pregnancy Category C.
While Aslor is non-sedating for the vast majority of users, minor side effects can occasionally include:
Headache or mild dizziness.
Dry mouth or mild throat irritation (pharyngitis).
Fatigue, unusual tiredness, or minor muscle pain (myalgia).
