UMACTIN 50mg Capsule contains Nitrofurantoin 50 mg. It is an antibiotic (nitrofuran class) used mainly for the treatment and prevention of urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Uses:

Urinary tract infection (UTI)
Cystitis (bladder infection)
Prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections
Treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms in the urinary tract

Dose:

Usually 50 mg four times daily or as directed by a doctor.
Take with food or milk to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset.
Swallow the capsule whole with water.
Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.
Use only under medical advice, especially in patients with kidney problems.
