KCL 150 mg/ml Injection contains Potassium Chloride 150 mg/ml. It is an electrolyte replacement medicine used for the prevention and treatment of potassium deficiency (hypokalemia).
Uses:
Treatment of potassium deficiency (hypokalemia).
Replacement of potassium lost due to prolonged vomiting or diarrhea.
Management of potassium loss caused by diuretic (potassium-losing) therapy.
Correction of hypochloremic alkalosis associated with hypokalemia.
Dose:
Administer only as prescribed by a physician.
Given by intravenous (IV) infusion, with the dose and infusion rate determined according to the patient's potassium level and clinical condition.
Do not administer as an undiluted IV injection or rapid IV push.
The duration of treatment and dose adjustment should be based on regular monitoring of serum potassium levels.
