Uses:
Prevention of heart attack in patients with acute coronary syndrome.
Prevention of stroke and other atherothrombotic events.
Prevention of blood clot formation after coronary stent placement.
Reduction of the risk of cardiovascular death in high-risk patients.
Dose:
Adults: Treatment is usually started with a 180 mg loading dose (two 90 mg tablets), followed by 90 mg twice daily, or as directed by a physician.
