ACYVIR 3% Eye Ointment 5GM contains Acyclovir 3%. It is an antiviral eye medicine used to treat eye infections caused by herpes simplex virus by stopping the growth and spread of the virus.

Uses:

Treatment of herpes simplex virus infection of the eye (herpetic keratitis).
Helps reduce viral activity in the eye.
Helps relieve eye symptoms caused by herpes virus infection.
Prevents worsening of viral eye infection when used as prescribed.

Dose:

Apply a small amount of ACYVIR 3% Eye Ointment 5GM inside the lower eyelid of the affected eye(s) as directed by a physician.
Usually applied several times daily depending on the severity of infection.
Wash hands before and after application.
Avoid touching the tip of the ointment tube to the eye or surrounding area.
Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed by an eye specialist.
