Betameson 0.05% Ointment contains Betamethasone Dipropionate (0.05% w/w), a potent topical corticosteroid that reduces the swelling, itching, and redness associated with severe or resistant inflammatory skin conditions.

Uses

Treatment of severe eczema and dermatitis (including atopic and contact dermatitis)
Management of plaque psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis)
Relief from lichen planus and localized discoid lupus erythematosus
Treatment of other inflammatory skin conditions that do not respond satisfactorily to less potent steroids

Typical Dose

Adults: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once or twice daily. Gently rub it in until it disappears.
Children: Not recommended for children under 12 years of age unless explicitly directed by a specialist. If used, application must be restricted to a short duration (less than 5 days) and must not be covered with airtight dressings.
Use as prescribed by a physician (Treatment should generally be limited to a maximum of 2 consecutive weeks to prevent skin damage).
