Treatment of acute otitis media (middle ear infection) in children
Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, including tonsillitis and acute bacterial sinusitis
Treatment of community-acquired pneumonia and acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis
Treatment of uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections
Children (6 months and older): Standard pediatric dose is 10 mg/kg as a single dose on Day 1, followed by 5 mg/kg once daily on Days 2 through 5 (often utilizing the 30 ml bottle for a full 5-day course depending on child weight).
Adults: Typically 500 mg (12.5 ml) as a single dose on Day 1, followed by 250 mg (6.25 ml) once daily on Days 2 through 5.
Use as prescribed by a physician and complete the full course.
