AXOSIN 1GM/VIAL IV INJ contains Cefotaxime Sodium 1 g. It is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.
Uses:
- Treatment of respiratory tract infections
- Treatment of urinary tract infections
- Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
- Treatment of intra-abdominal infections
- Treatment of septicemia and meningitis
- Prevention of postoperative infections
Dose:
- Adults: Usually 1 g every 8–12 hours by intravenous injection/infusion or as directed by a physician
- Dose depends on the type and severity of infection
- Follow the prescribed dose and duration as advised by a healthcare professional
