Phylopen Forte Oral Suspension contains Flucloxacillin Sodium (250 mg per 5 ml), a double-strength, penicillin-type antibiotic that eliminates bacterial infections by blocking the formation of the protective bacterial cell wall.

Uses

Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections (such as boils, abscesses, or cellulitis)
Treatment of respiratory tract infections (including tonsillitis, sinusitis, and pharyngitis)
Treatment of ear infections (otitis media and externa)
Management of minor bone or joint infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Typical Dose

Adults: 250 mg to 500 mg (5 ml to 10 ml) taken four times daily, usually administered on an empty stomach half to one hour before meals.
Children (2 to 10 years): 125 mg to 250 mg (2.5 ml to 5 ml) taken four times daily.
Children (Under 2 years): 62.5 mg to 125 mg (1.25 ml to 2.5 ml) taken four times daily.
