Description:
CEFOTIL 1.5gm/vial IV Injection contains Cefuroxime 1.5 g (as Cefuroxime sodium). It is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections by preventing bacterial cell wall synthesis.
Uses:
Treats severe respiratory tract, urinary, skin, and soft tissue infections.
Treats bone, joint, and severe systemic infections like septicemia and meningitis.
Used for surgical prophylaxis to prevent post-operative infections.
Dose:
Administered strictly via slow intravenous (IV) injection or infusion by a healthcare professional.
Adults: Usually 1.5 g every 6 to 8 hours depending on infection severity, as directed by a physician.
