DIMEROL MR 60 mg Tablet contains Gliclazide 60 mg, a modified-release oral antidiabetic medicine used to control blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Gliclazide belongs to the sulfonylurea group of diabetes medicines. It works by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin and helps reduce high blood glucose levels.
The modified-release (MR) formulation provides a gradual and prolonged effect to help maintain blood sugar control throughout the day.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Control of high blood sugar levels along with diet and exercise
Diabetes not adequately controlled by lifestyle changes alone
May be used alone or with other diabetes medicines
Adults: Usually 60 mg once daily with breakfast or the main meal
Dose may be adjusted according to blood sugar levels and doctor’s advice
Do not change the dose without medical guidance
Take with food, preferably with breakfast
Swallow the tablet whole with water
Do not crush or chew the modified-release tablet
Take regularly at the same time each day
Maintain proper diet and exercise routine
Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

Increased appetite
Do not skip meals after taking this medicine to reduce the risk of low blood sugar
Monitor blood glucose regularly
Use cautiously in kidney or liver disease

Not used for Type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
