PRULICON 1 mg contains Prucalopride 1 mg. It is a selective serotonin (5-HT4) receptor agonist medicine used to treat chronic constipation by stimulating bowel movement.

Uses:

Treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation in adults
Improvement of bowel movement frequency
Relief of constipation symptoms such as difficulty in passing stool and incomplete bowel emptying
Management of constipation when other laxatives are not effective (as prescribed)

Dose:

Adults: Usually 2 mg once daily, or as directed by a physician
Elderly patients: Usually 1 mg once daily, which may be adjusted as advised
Take the medicine with or without food at the same time each day
Dose may be adjusted according to patient response and kidney function
Do not change the dose without medical advice
