CEFOTAX 1gm/10ml IV/IM Injection contains Cefotaxime 1 gm. It is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections.

Uses:

Treatment of respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis
Treatment of urinary tract infections
Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
Treatment of bone, joint, blood, and other serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Dose:

Usually 1–2 gm every 8–12 hours by IV or IM injection, or as prescribed by the physician
