Treatment of acute otitis media (middle ear infection) in children
Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, including tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and acute bacterial sinusitis
Treatment of community-acquired pneumonia and acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis
Treatment of uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections
Children (6 months and older): Standard pediatric dose is 10 mg/kg as a single dose on Day 1, followed by 5 mg/kg once daily on Days 2 and 3 (completing the full dose within the 15 ml bottle volume).
Adults: The 15 ml bottle is generally insufficient for a standard adult course, but if prescribed, the dose is 500 mg (12.5 ml) once daily for 3 days.
