Secrin M 2 mg+500 mg Tablet contains Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg. It is a combination oral antidiabetic medication where Glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) stimulates the pancreas to release insulin, and Metformin (a biguanide) decreases hepatic glucose production and enhances peripheral insulin sensitivity.
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control.
Helps control blood sugar levels when treatment with Glimepiride and Metformin combined is required.
Adults: Usually 1 tablet taken once or twice daily with or immediately after meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort, as prescribed by a physician.
