ORCEF DPS Syrup 30ml contains Cefixime (dry powder for oral suspension). It is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and preventing bacterial growth.

Uses:

Treatment of respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia).
Treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Treatment of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) infections, including otitis media, sinusitis, and tonsillitis.
Treatment of typhoid fever caused by susceptible bacteria.
Treatment of other susceptible bacterial infections as prescribed by a physician.

Dose:

Children: Dose is based on body weight, usually 8 mg/kg/day as a single dose or in two divided doses, or as directed by a physician.
Reconstitute the dry powder with the recommended amount of water before use.
Shake the bottle well before each dose.
Measure the dose accurately using the supplied measuring device.
Can be taken with or without food.
Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve.
Do not stop or change the dose without medical advice.
