ALPHAPRESS 1mg TABLET contains Prazosin Hydrochloride 1 mg. It is an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker (antihypertensive medicine) used for the treatment of high blood pressure and certain urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Uses:

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
Management of urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
Adjunctive treatment of congestive heart failure
Management of Raynaud's phenomenon and Raynaud's disease

Dose:

Usually 0.5 mg at bedtime initially, then gradually increased as prescribed by the physician
Maintenance dose is individualized according to the patient's response
Take the tablet with or without food at the same time each day
Dose should be increased gradually under medical supervision to minimize the risk of first-dose hypotension
