Prazolok ER 5mg Tablet contains Ilaprazole (5 mg) in an Extended-Release (ER) formulation. It is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces gastric acid production by inhibiting the $H^+/K^+$ -ATPase enzyme system in the stomach lining, providing prolonged acid suppression.

Uses

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and erosive esophagitis
Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers

Combination therapy for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infections

Typical Dose

Adults: Typically 1 tablet (5 mg) taken once daily in the morning, swallowed whole at least 30 minutes before breakfast. Do not crush or chew the extended-release tablet.
