Migon 10mg Tablet is an oral prescription medication used primarily to prevent long-term migraine attacks.
Prevention of Migraine Attacks: Used as a long-term preventive treatment to reduce the frequency and intensity of classic migraines (with aura) or common migraines (without aura).
Management of Vertigo: Indicated for the prevention and symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo, which is a spinning or dizzy sensation caused by functional disorders of the inner ear or brain.
Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD): Sometimes prescribed to help improve blood flow in conditions involving poor blood circulation in the limbs.
Standard Adult Starting Dose (Ages 18 to 64): 10mg taken once daily.
Elderly Patients (Ages 65 and older): The starting dose is typically reduced to 5mg once daily to lower the risk of age-related side effects.
Maintenance Schedule: If you respond well after a few months, your doctor may transition you to a maintenance schedule (such as taking the tablet 5 days a week followed by 2 successive medicine-free days) or pause the therapy after 6 months to evaluate your condition.
