HYSOMIDE 20 mg/ml Injection contains Furosemide 20 mg/ml. It is a loop diuretic (water pill) used to remove excess fluid from the body by increasing urine production.
Uses:
Treatment of edema (fluid retention) associated with:
Heart failure
Liver disease (cirrhosis)
Kidney disorders
Management of acute pulmonary edema (fluid accumulation in the lungs)
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in selected cases
Management of fluid overload conditions
Dose:
Adults: Dose is individualized depending on the condition and response, usually 20–40 mg by IV or IM injection initially or as directed by a physician.
Administered by intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection by a qualified healthcare professional.
Monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels (especially potassium and sodium) may be required.
Dose and frequency depend on the patient's condition, fluid status, and clinical response.
