FLAGYL 200mg/5ml Suspension 60ml contains Metronidazole 200 mg/5 ml. It is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial medicine used to treat infections caused by anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites by damaging their DNA and stopping their growth.

Uses:

Treatment of amoebiasis (amoebic dysentery).
Treatment of giardiasis.
Treatment of trichomoniasis.
Treatment of anaerobic bacterial infections.
Treatment of dental infections caused by anaerobic bacteria.
Treatment of certain gastrointestinal infections.
Treatment of bacterial vaginosis (as prescribed).
Used in combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori infection (stomach ulcer-causing bacteria).

Dose:

Children and adults: Dose is based on age, body weight, type, and severity of infection as directed by a physician.
Shake the suspension well before use.
Use the measuring spoon or dosing device for accurate measurement.
Take the medicine exactly as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve.
Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48–72 hours after completing the course unless advised otherwise by a doctor.
