TRAXON 2 g IV Injection contains Ceftriaxone Sodium 2 g. It is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of serious bacterial infections.
Uses:
Treatment of lower respiratory tract infections
Treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs)
Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
Treatment of intra-abdominal infections
Treatment of bone and joint infections
Treatment of septicemia (bloodstream infections)
Treatment of bacterial meningitis
Treatment of gonorrhea and other susceptible bacterial infections
Dose:
Adults: Usually 1–2 g once daily or divided into two doses, depending on the type and severity of the infection, or as directed by a physician.
For severe infections, the dose may be increased up to 4 g daily if clinically indicated.
Administered by intravenous (IV) injection or infusion by a qualified healthcare professional.
Dose and duration depend on the patient's condition, kidney/liver function, and response to treatment.
Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if symptoms improve earlier.
